Aviron Quebec trains skilled craftsmen capable to build, renovate and repair structures made of wood, steel, concrete and other materials in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors and related industries.

ADMISSION
CONDITIONS

Admission Requirements:

  • Hold a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent, or a higher education diploma, such as a college diploma or a bachelor's degree. 
  • Have obtained Secondary 4 credits in language of instruction, second language and mathematics or have completed learning recognized as equivalent. 
  • Possess the functional prerequisites, i.e. passing the general development test (GDT) as well as the specific prerequisites, or having completed learning recognized as equivalent.

PROGRAM CONTENT

Aviron Quebec provides you with the knowledge, skills and tools needed to succeed in the field. Our training includes subjects such as:

  • Health, safety and physical integrity in construction sites
  • Proper use of hand tools and portable electric tools
  • Analyze drawings and sketches
  • Planning calculations
  • Perform alignment, levelling, scaffolding, lifting and handling operations
  • Build forms for footings, foundation walls and concrete walls
  • Perform insulating, soundproofing and ventilation operations
  • Do exterior and interior finishing work
